How to study

• Chapters are in dependency order: read them from beginning to end. Each chapter consolidates, in one place, everything the lectures said about a topic.
• The course is built around the measurement → model → decision triple. Parts I and II build the forecasting machinery, Part III the statistics to describe and compare it, Part IV the optimization that turns forecasts into decisions.
• The widgets (simulators, annotated code, state explorers, quizzes) are reconstructed from the original lessons: use them actively, not just as reading material.
• Every chapter lists at the end the deck it was reconstructed from; the page-per-date lessons no longer exist but remain in the git history of the repo.
